Electric supercars — and the four-doors that embarrass them

The two-door electric supercar is rarer than you'd expect. Battery mass punishes small cars, so most manufacturers put their power into bigger bodies instead. That is changing — but slowly, and it makes the existing cars more interesting, not less.

A Lucid Air Sapphire or Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will out-drag almost every combustion supercar ever made, with a child seat in the back. They are not eligible for the rally — two doors only — but a separate invitational class is under consideration. Owners can register interest via the ballot form.
